Calum is a recent graduate from the University of Aberdeen with an MA in Politics and International Relations. During his time there he contributed written articles for the Gaudie student newspaper and the Amnesty International Society. Calum's main fields of interest are international security and foreign policy. His final year dissertation explored the topic of 'sportswashing', whereby states use sports to improve their global image, particularly if they have a poor human rights record. Since mid-November 2022 Calum has been an intern at NATO Watch.
