The 3 June marked the 100th day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. There appears to be little progress on talks to end the war, as Russia continued its offensive in the Donbas and the fighting centred on the key city of Sievierodonetsk. President Zelenskyy said Russia is now in control of roughly 20 per cent of Ukraine's territory and Western leaders warned of a long-term conflict in Ukraine as the Russian invasion turns into a “war of attrition”. The United States announced that it was shipping four sophisticated, medium-range rocket systems and ammunition to Ukraine as part of a new $700m tranche of security assistance, while the head of US Cyber Command admitted for the first time the US has carried out offensive cyber operations to help Ukraine.
