The Interdisciplinary Research Group on Disarmament, Arms Control and Risk Technologies (IFAR²) addresses the complex interaction between the dynamics of armament, potential weapons deployment, debates on strategy as well as the potential of arms control and disarmament as security policy instruments. IFAR² is part of the Institute for Peace Research and Security at the University of Hamburg, and runs a joint project with the Arms Control Association (ACA) and British American Security Information Council (BASIC) which aims to reduce the role of tactical nuclear weapons in Europe. The website contains a compilation of publications and events related to the project and tactical nuclear weapons more generally and a list of German Parliamentary activities related to the discussion on NATO's nuclear weapons.
