Tamás Csiki

Tamas is an expert on security and defense policy at the Center for Strategic and Defense Studies in Budapest, Hungary. A recent graduate from Central European University’s Nationalism Studies Program and a PhD student in the field of military sciences at the former National Defense University (now National University of Public Service) he has been researching a wide range of topics, including minority conflicts, European migration and integration, the security and defense policy of Hungary, Germany and Turkey and trends in global arms trade and armament. Lately his research focus has become NATO and multinational defense cooperation as he has been the editor of the column NATO-NETto of the Hungarian security policy portal www.biztonsagpolitika.hu since 2009. Thus, Tamas is also involved in public outreach activities in the security domain, including media appearances and public seminars.
