If you are a freelance investigative journalist or researcher able to report real-time stories in English on NATO-related news, we want to hear from you. Currently, our limited funding base prevents regular commissioning of work, but there may some ad hoc opportunities. And as we grow, we anticipate making more regular use of freelance staff, especially those with strong sourcing into the various levels of NATO governance in Brussels, Washington DC and other Alliance capitals.
As with all positions at NATO Watch, speed and accuracy are essential as is sound news judgment. The ability to build up sources in the political world and a keen sense of emerging transatlantic security issues and topics is also needed. Excellent written and spoken English is essential.
