Web Editor for NATO Watch - part time subject to agreement

Voluntary position (but with potential for a future salaried position within six months, subject to funding)
NATO Watch is seeking a Web Editor with 1-2 years experience to work either from home or at an office location in either Brussels or Gairloch (Scottish Highlands). NATO Watch is a not-for-profit company which works in a wide range of areas that relate to NATO and transatlantic security issues. Some experience in these areas would be helpful.

Responsibilities will focus on coordinating the publication of web content on the NATO Watch web site for global audiences (but primarily in North America and Europe), with emphasis on ensuring brand consistency, editorial quality, relevance to the news cycle and NATO Watch's online communications goals. Maintaining the site up-to-date and relevant will include the reviewing and posting of press releases, news articles, publications and analysis and commentary from associates and the wider public.

Ideal candidates will have experience editing and proofing content for the web (text, images, audio and video), a working understanding of Drupal, proficiency with HTML and information architecture, and the ability to manage changing priorities on a daily basis in a fast-paced environment. Candidate should be a self-starter, highly organised, a real team player comfortable interacting with people and offices in different parts of the world, possess strong writing and communications skills, and have interest in web technologies and international affairs.
