Tricia is an adjunct assistant professor at New York University’s Department of Politics where she teaches International Security. She is also a Senior Fellow at the World Policy Institute and a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for the Study of Democracy, Queens University in Kingston, Ontario. She has over fifteen years experience as a writer, independent analyst and consultant in international relations and economic development (with the Department of Defense, Department of State, US AID and several non-government and international organizations on various security issues in the Middle East, Iraq and Afghanistan). She has been working in Afghanistan on provincial governance and capacity building, parliamentary reform, public policy development in the Office of the President of Afghanistan and the transition from war. Tricia has published extensively on US foreign policy and national security topics, with a focus on encouraging a holistic and integrated international policy that looks beyond war and the use of force – and is an expert commentator for CNN, MSNBC, Al Jazeera, Fox News, BBC and NPR, and a regular columnist on the Huffington Post. Tricia holds an MPA in International Security and Conflict Resolution from Harvard University and an MBA in International Trade and Finance from George Washington University.
